Location Location Location

“Must be the greatest surf shack in the world**”

Nestled above one of Europe’s premier surf breaks, Easky House is a stunning period country residence dating from 1830’s. Built on the sea fields that now make up the shoreline for some of Europe’s most consistent surfing waves, Easky House boasts majestic Atlantic ocean views across this surfing panorama and beyond to encompasses uninterrupted views of the whole of Sligo Bay, a place where literally the mountains meet the sea! To find such a gracious period home in such a unique and private location with stunning ocean views is very rare indeed - truly living up to the real estate mantra - location, location, location!!

Built in the Regency style, all the rooms, including reception areas and bedrooms, are bright and well proportioned with high ceilings, elegant shuttered sash windows, elaborate ceiling plasterwork, decorative marble chimney pieces and architraves. Easky House has been meticulously and sensitively restored in recent years to an extremely high standard. The property maintains all of its original character and charm although it now benefits from all of the conveniences associated with contemporary living. The house extends to circa 5,000 sq ft with 4 reception rooms, bar, kitchen and utility rooms downstairs and 6 bedrooms, 5 with ensuite, upstairs.

Easky House is set well back from the road in the middle of its circa 9 acres with the grounds laid out as a park style garden. The house is flanked by lawns and interspersed by mature trees. In excess of 2,000 native species of tree including Oak, Beech and Sycamore were further planted around the property 10 years ago by the Future Forests, Bantry. They created an 800 meter walkway around the property through the trees and also encompassing the spectacular Atlantic views.

This attractive residence is very private with beautiful country and sea views from every window. Within the grounds and well separated from the house are 2 unrestored barns that share the same stunning Atlantic views providing superb development potential as the Wild Atlantic Way tourist trail passes straight by the front gate. The house lies within the town land of Easky to further its development potential, with Easky village being less than 1 km away. Innishcrone, with it’s beautiful sandy beach, European rated links golf course, seaweed bath, hotels and restaurants, is a further 10km. Knock international airport, with direct links to Europe and the USA, is 56km. Easky House could be used simply as a great place to live, a stunning holiday home, a boutique country guest house or an unique wedding venue.

This sale presents a rare opportunity as Easky House has only changed ownership three times in almost two hundred years - so opportunities to own this exclusive property don’t come around very often!!

Easky has a friendly surfing and artistic community made up of an eclectic mix of locals and expats that are drawn to the dramatic coastline.

About Easky /

Sligo, Ireland

Surfing | Easky House | For Sale by Private Treaty USD$ 1.8m

Easky is blessed with a right and left reef surf breaks that work on all tides and most swell directions. Due to Easky’s orientation on Sligo Bay the southern winds, which bring the huge ocean swells, blow offshore in Easky, making it one of the most consistent surf waves in Ireland. The coastline’s limestone shelf provides many more reef breaks within a 10km radius, which take a variety of different swell and wind conditions, making Easky one of Europe’s premier surf locations. Easky House has uninterrupted views of the surfing panorama and you can even check the conditions from the master bedroom without lifting your head from the pillow! The infamous massive waves of Mullaghmore are also within Sligo Bay and less than one hours drive away.
